Term 1:
RIGID BODY DYNAMICS AND PYRO
Rigid Body Dynamics was used to explore procedural modeling and generate a plausible destruction shot (RBD). To control the physical behavior of your simulation, you'll use geometry fracturing, a variety of FX solvers, and constraints (Pin, String, and Glue Constraints). Without the ability to blow something up, no FX artist's skill set is complete! You'll also learn how to use the Pyro Solver to produce feature film-quality smoke, fire, and explosions, as well as construct amazing destruction scenes, throughout this semester.

Term 2:
LIQUID, VELLUM FX AND PORTFOLIO
You'll get your feet wet with liquid simulations in this semester of Houdini training. Learn how to make anything from a splash in a pond to a roaring ocean, as well as how to reduce render times. Using the new Vellum solver, you'll learn how to develop simulations for fabric, hair, and grains. You will have a thorough knowledge and hands-on experience developing realistic simulations for feature films and television, as well as spectacular VFX shots for your portfolio, at the conclusion of this semester.
